Thank you again to everyone who joined the workshops and made the day so memorable. The room filled with curiosity and shared joy rhythm in the ‘Hyakkō in bloom: flower arranging with exhibition ceramics’ workshops at Japan House. Led by Ikebana practitioners Irene Moore & Hiromi Owen from Sogetsu school, participants created their own arrangements using ceramics vessels by makers featured in the ‘Hyakkō: 100+ Makers from Japan’ exhibition. No two arrangements were the same. It was a pleasure to see how every participant responded differently. Each vessel invited a different response, and the participants brought their own sensibility to their dialogue between flowers and compositions. Seeing flower arrangements and the exhibition ceramics come to life in this way was truly rewarding.
