We were truly thankful to collaborate with Japan House London for the ‘Hyakkō in bloom: flower arranging with exhibition ceramics’ workshops. Thank you to everyone who joined us to explore the functional beauty of Japanese craft through Ikebana.

Led by Ikebana practitioners Chifumi Orgler and Hilary Cheng from Ohara Ikebana School, participants created their own arrangements using the ceramic vessels by the makers featured in the ‘Hyakkō: 100+ Makers from Japan’ exhibition. It was inspiring to see how each vessel’s form and character shaped the relationship between flowers and space, reminding us that craft is not only something to admire, but something to live with every day.

We’re deeply grateful to our wonderful IIL team and the Japan House team for all their support throughout the workshops.
